A couple of local hikes the past two days.

We are back again ! I normally would like to hike more but our schedules dont always align. We had some fabulous summer weather this past weekend in Pennsylvania. What a tease...

Anyway, We did the Boyce park log cabin trail today which is super easy and takes you through some woods in Plum, PA. It's a more common single track mountain biking trail but the wildflowers were blooming! Not as many as our visit to Braddocks trail yesterday. See pics below of our hikes. Overall an easy beginner trail and I recommend a stop to Shootis bar and grille (the wings are fabulous) or check out the new Bygone winery in Plum. I really enjoy their slushies and one of my coworkers works a part time job there so she's awesome to go say 👋 to.

Yesterday we did the Braddocks trail in Irwin which is also a great beginners trail. Lots of wildflowers out and about there. There is a nice overlook at the top of the trail. I feel like this trail isn't used too often but you could also mountain bike it. Dogs seem to be allowed on both trails as well.

If you don't have the Alltrails app, it's a game changer. I recommend downloading it for your future adventures! Cheers and happy hiking !

Red Trillium pictured above, As well as blue moon phlox (or woodland phlox) by me hugging the tree lol. Working on identifying the yellow flowers and white ones in the first two rows. I think I want to take a botany class now 🤔 😬
