My husband Shane found a used truck he wanted that was located in Newarck, Delaware so we figured we would spend the weekend in the area.

We stayed at this cute air bnbhttps://air.tl/tRHPPpb9 in Wilmington which was in walking distance to restaurants and other activities like the Brandywine Park.

We "hiked" the Brandywine loop and explored the rose gardens there. So pretty ! There is also a zoo there.

We drove to Bombay Hook National Wildlife Refuge and I was very impressed with this place.

We saw Lots of water foul including the ones labeled below.

Great Egret

Black necked stilt

Great blue heron

Semipalmated Sandpiper

marsh wren

Red winged blackbird

Great Egret and a black bellied plover

Little egrets (have black Beak and orange feet unlike the Great egret)

We ate at Dogfishhead Brewery which I was really excited about and had dinner at Trolley taphouse which was downtown Wilmington.

On our way home we went to Longwood Gardens , it Is huge! I bet it's beautiful in the winter. We spent about 3 hrs there.

It was a lovely little trip! Rehoboth beach wasn't too far either but far enough we needed another day to explore !

Cheers and happy exploring!
