Back to it! Cuyahoga National Park🌱

Writer's picture: gentz1005gentz1005

Just like a bear out of hibernation, we are back to hiking! First, let me recap my last 4.5 months here:

-tore my acl while jumping down from a rock in NY on Oct 23 of 2022

-had surgery Nov 23 of 2022 (quad graft)

-been going to physical therapy 3 times a week, and exercising at home

-recovery is not an easy task, heel slides have been my BFF (not) for regaining flexion back

Hey, I'm almost able to touch my foot to my butt now.

Anyway, this was our second trip to Cuyahoga National Park, this time in the early spring over Easter break.

FRIDAY- We drove in from Pittsburgh and completed:

  • Beaver marsh trail

  • Ohio and erie canal towpath in Brecksville

  • Checked in at the Inn at Brandywine falls (second stay in the loft), its so cute.

  • Went to carso rosso winery and Sarah's vineyard

  • Loved seeing all the wildlife!

  • Ohio and erie canal towpath to peninsula from the Visitor Center

  • Bridal veil falls overlook at Viaduct Park (bedford reservation)

  • Tinkers creek gorge

  • Kendall lake

  • Ate lunch at tinkers creek tavern (cute spot and yummy food)

SUNDAY

  • Had breakfast at our place and headed home for easter!

This park is nice for those that like easier hikes. Also, Cleveland is about 30 minutes away and there's a lot to do in the city like visit the awesome zoo or go see a baseball game !

Cheers and happy hiking ! I know I'm excited to be back out there.
